About product
FU 250 M Silk® Pro Orange is part of the Silk® Pro Series — a design-focused line made by FuturaSun for architecturally demanding installations. This panel uses PERC (Passivated Emitter Rear Contact) technology combined with MBB (Multi Busbar) half-cut cells, a construction that reduces resistive losses and improves light capture compared to conventional cell layouts.
Half-cut cell technology adds a few more percent to the overall performance by reducing internal power loss and improving behavior in partial shading. FuturaSun's 2 independent section design further protects energy yield when part of the panel is shaded, since each half of the module operates independently. The round ribbon technology used on the cells reduces shading loss and increases the amount of light reflected back onto the cell surface, adding a further efficiency gain. FuturaSun paid as much attention to durability and aesthetics as to performance: this panel comes with a 25-year performance guarantee (97% output at the end of year 1, 90% at year 20, and 87% at year 25) plus a 15-year product warranty.

Designed for architecturally demanding installations
The FU 250 M Silk® Pro Orange is particularly suited for Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) and for buildings of high aesthetic value or in areas subject to landscape and heritage constraints. Its orange colored glass and frame (RAL 8023) let it blend into terracotta rooftops and similar architectural contexts without sacrificing solar generation. Frame and glass color can also be customized on request for specific project requirements.
Exceptional performance in scorching weather
At high working temperatures, a low temperature coefficient equals increased energy generation. Every 1.8°F over 77°F results in a power loss of just -0.35 percent, keeping output more stable in hot climates than many standard panels.
Reliability and degradation resistance
FuturaSun backs this panel with a 25-year performance guarantee: output starts at 97% after the first year and declines by no more than 0.5% per year afterward, retaining at least 87% of original performance by year 25. This is paired with a 15-year product warranty covering materials and workmanship.
Robust frame and mechanical design
The panel uses a varnished aluminium frame with dedicated mounting and drainage holes, built for demanding rooftop and façade installations. It can withstand a mechanical snow load of up to 5400 Pa and a wind load of up to 2400 Pa (both including a 1.5 safety factor), and is rated Protection Class II in accordance with IEC 61730.
