Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

A1 SolarStore (a1solarstore.com) values the privacy of its clients. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the GDPR (EU 2016/679). It covers only our website; it does not apply to data collected offline or through other channels. Questions? Contact us anytime.

Data controller

A1 Solar S.à r.l., 45, Rue de Wormeldange, 6955 Rodenbourg, Luxembourg (VAT: LU35183114), is the data controller. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact [email protected].

We process personal data only where we have a valid legal basis under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Consent – e.g. marketing communications or non-essential cookies (withdrawable at any time)
  • Contract – e.g. fulfilling orders or managing your account
  • Legal obligation – e.g. accounting and tax requirements
  • Legitimate interests – e.g. site security, fraud prevention, service improvement, provided these don't override your rights

Information we collect and how we use it

We collect what's needed for the purpose at hand: contact details (name, company, address, email, phone) when you create an account or contact us, plus the content of any messages or attachments you send.

We use this information to operate, maintain, and improve our website; process orders and provide customer service; send updates and marketing (with consent, where required); analyze site usage; and detect and prevent fraud. Where necessary, it's shared with partners and processors under data processing agreements — for example, shippers (delivery), our newsletter platform (email), and contractors you choose to engage.

Some providers (e.g. Google reCAPTCHA) may process data outside the EEA, including in the US. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

We retain data only as long as necessary for these purposes or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

Log files

Like most hosting services, we log standard visitor data (IP address, browser type, ISP, timestamps, referring/exit pages) to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather demographics. This data does not directly identify you and is processed on the basis of legitimate interest.

Cookies

We use cookies to remember preferences and improve your experience. Strictly necessary cookies don't require consent; all other cookies (analytics, marketing, personalization) are only set with your prior consent via our cookie banner. You can manage or withdraw consent anytime through your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge); note this may affect site functionality.

reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam and abuse, on the basis of legitimate interest. Google processes this data as our processor (see international transfers above) and does not use it for personalized advertising.

Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format, object to processing (including for direct marketing), withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We respond within one month (extendable by two months for complex requests, with notice). We do not sell your personal data — we sell solar equipment.

Children's information

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor and guide their children's online activity. If you believe a child has provided us data without parental consent, contact us and we will promptly remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; changes will be posted here with a revised date.
