This inverter is quite small, but it does its job. I found it very convenient for my needs: I can watch the performance of my system wherever I want. Feels good to go solar.

We’ve bought this inverter along with the panels (Canadian Solar). Our system is small, and this Sunny Boy fits it well. The shipment was fast and so far our solar project is going great.

Sunny Boy 3.8-US w/integrated DC Disconnect, LCD, Grey Lid, AFCI, 208 & 240VAC; SunSpec Compliant.

The SMA "-41" Series Sunny Boy inverter, featuring SunSpec signal transmitter chip, is one of the most versatile residential inverters available. Combine this series with the SMA-TS4-R-F in order to build cost effective NEC 2017 PV RSS compliant string systems, or pair with SMA-TS4-R "-S" / "-O" (and comms gateway) to provide module level monitoring / optimization (respectively). Or leave all the rooftop electronics behind and design the system to take full advantage of the Secure Power Supply (SPS feature not Compatible with Sunspec based PV RSS). 600V max system DCV, compatible with both 240V and 208V sites, and backed by SMA's Power customer service package.
