American made solar panels

While Chinese companies are undisputed leaders on the world’s solar market, there are enough brands in America that make solid modern competitive PV modules. Usually, they come at a slightly higher price than the Asian product, but in return you get panels of a higher quality and with better warranties. In this section we’ve collected all the American made solar panels in our store.

Top 5 American solar panel manufacturers

Let’s go over the most famous NA brands that define the term “solar panel made in the USA” today. PV modules from different manufacturer vary in:

  • solar panel design;
  • cost;
  • efficiency;
  • warranties;
  • quality;
  • type of panels available.
  • weather and shading tolerance and more.

Solaria panels are probably the most beautiful PV modules on the market. Their uniform black polished surface was made possible by using shingled solar panel design where no busbars are required. The shading tolerance of Solaria is also outstanding thanks to the configuration of a panel. Innovative design means higher manufacturing costs and this reflects in the price of Solaria PV modules, but it doesn’t change the fact that they are among the best American made solar panels.

Mission Solar

Mission Solar is an American company with headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Texas. High quality is what stands out with Mission Solar panels. The product by the brand is certified by German experts and always performs at least as well as in lab conditions. At the same time the panels from Texas engineers are relatively inexpensive and are suitable for a variety of different projects, whether it’s a home solar system, a commercial installation or a mobile system.

Certaineed is first and foremost a roofing company, but it also sells solar products at a reasonable price. The brand offers solar shingles and solar tiles which are great alternatives to standard roofing solutions. Certainteed solar panels are made in the USA and Canada. The company offers an all-encompassing warranty from Certaineed for every part of a system.

Silfab is a brand with headquarters in Canada, but with every solar panel made in the USA. The company is most known for impressive warranties: panels come with a product warranty for up to 25 years and an output warranty for up to 30 years. Other than that, the manufacturer puts out just a solid competitive product with most modern trends implemented, like PERC and half-cut cell design.

Aptos Solar

Aptos Solar entered the solar market in 2019, but already has made a name for itself. The panels from Californian brand come with the greatest warranties: 25-year for product and 30-year for performance. Aptos Solar engineers have devised their own design of a solar cell which is now known as DNA technology. It provides higher efficiency, better performance at high temperatures and makes a panel overall sturdier. The panels are designed and engineered in Silicon Valley.
