About product

TSM DE15V is part of the TallMax Series — one of the most recent made by Trina Solar. These panels employ cutting-edge technologies to achieve superior efficiency and reliability. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.

The use of half-cut cell technology is an additional perk. The solar cells of TSM DE15V are half the size of those found in standard panels. Major advantages include reduced power consumption, extended life and enhanced efficiency in low-light conditions. At 20% efficiency, TSM DE15V offers surprising performance for its weight and size. Trina Solar provides an industry-leading 25-year performance warranty and a 12-year product warranty.

  • 252 half-cut PERC cells
  • 470 W nameplate capacity
  • 20% efficiency
  • 1500 V DC maximum system voltage
  • MC4 connectors
  • 12 years of product and 25 years of performance warranty

High productivity thanks to the most recent developments

This Trina Solar panel produces 470 W of power at 20 percent efficiency. High levels of energy output are reached by utilizing the most recent innovations in the solar sector. A more efficient panel produces more per square foot and pays for itself sooner.

Better performance at high temperatures

Excellent temperature coefficient means more energy as temperature rises. Every 1.8°F hike above 77°F will decrease your panel’s efficiency by only 0.34%.

Quality and reliability

TSM DE15V receives multiple quality checks throughout the manufacturing process and is subject to stringent quality and reliability testing. The manufacturing facilities are highly automated, eliminating the risk of human error. Trina Solar is dedicated to quality, safety and reliability to ensure you get the very best.

Low degradation for a longer lifespan

These panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output in the first year of service. From the 2nd year to the 25th year, the average annual power decline will be no more than 0.60%. The module retains over 83.6% of its original output after 25 years. Guaranteed by Trina Solar.

A panel that can handle hail, wind and snow

The 1.38" frame made from anodized aluminum and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module resistant to the foulest of weather. The front side of the modules can resist a 5400 Pa load, and the back side 2400 Pa.

I purchased 6 pallets of the Trina 470 panels and notice they all seemed to have a measured max current of about 12-13A is that normal? When I was researching specs i saw 10A in the literature. Obviously this can have a big impact on wiring especially if,as I am doing, you are placing the panels at some distance from the charge controller/combiner box.
