Other panel firms come and go on a regular basis. They boast 25- or 30-year guarantees, but if the manufacturer goes bankrupt, customers have nothing to rely on. Trina Solar was founded before my birth and will continue to operate long after my death. That gives some credence to the 25-year guarantee they provide.

These panels are sleek, and I appreciate that the installer added a skirt to the bottom of them. These all-black Trina panels became even more aesthetic

I am looking at purchasing 40 solar panels of about 300 W for our blueberry farm. We intend to use micro inverters. We are looking at 300 W panels. I would also consider purchasing a frame for the panels. It can sit on the ground. Any suggestions? Do you sell a kit meeting the requirements noted above? How much $? Ronny Green

Our PV system uses the Trina TSM 320DD06M.05 (11) solar panel. One of them was damaged by a tree limb and will need replacement. Are they available or is a suitable replacement available? The system is 8,000 watts total.

Our standard shipping charge is $250 for up to 11 panels and it is increased by $25 for every 4 additional panels. How long is the warranty on the panel?
In general, manufacturers provide a 25 year-long performance warranty and a 10 year-long equipment guarantee. Some manufacturers offer 12-15 years of warranty. More information is available in our warranty support section.
Which panels do you recommend for RV, marine?
We recommend Panasonic and Mission Solar panels for smaller systems as their high energy output and excellent craftsmanship guarantee years of service.
Can this panel be used with a 12v system?
Any of our panels can be used for a 12v system with a properly selected inverter and charge controller.
Can I pick up this panel from your fulfillment center to save on shipping?

How do I connect these panels?
To achieve the best system efficiency, panels should be connected in series to create higher voltage.

Can I build a solar system by myself as a Do It Yourself project?

Can I connect and charge my solar panel battery directly with the solar panel?
We do not recommend using the solar panel without the charge controller. Using solar panels without the charge controller might damage the batteries.
Can I drill holes into the aluminum frame for mounting?
We do not recommend drilling any new holes to the aluminum frame of the panel as it could damage the internal circuit and solar cells. (Also, any modification to the panel will void the warranty). We recommend only using the pre-drilled holes for mounting.
Do solar panels require maintenance? Can I wash my solar panel?
Solar panels generally require very little maintenance. We recommend cleaning the solar panel with water, glass cleaner (Windex) and microfiber cloth.
Will my panel produce power in an overcast condition?
While solar panels require sunlight to generate solar energy, they will still work in cloudy weather. Even on a cloudy day, solar panels will produce energy just not as much.
Will my panels produce power if covered with snow?
Solar panels cannot produce electricity if covered with snow.

TSM-DE09.05 is part of the Trina Vertex Series — one of the most recent made by Trina Solar. These panels employ cutting-edge technologies to achieve superior efficiency and reliability. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.

To further boost the performance, Trina Solar employs half-cut cell technology. Each of the panel’s 120 cells is only half the size of a traditional solar cell. This grants TSM-DE09.05 lower resistive losses and better shade tolerance. The efficiency of this model reaches 20.5% — well above the market’s average. Trina Solar paid as much attention to durability as they did to performance. TSM-DE09.05 is guaranteed to retain at least 91% of output after 15 years. Product warranty for this panel lasts 15 years.

TSM-DE09.05 guarantees the highest power output. PERC technology and potent antireflective coating result in 20.5% module efficiency. This is significantly higher than average, which will result in substantial extra savings over the years of operation.

TSM-DE09.05 manages to stay efficient even at high temperatures. For every 1.8°F above 77°F, it loses just 0.34% in efficiency, allowing you to make the most of the sunniest hours.

Reliability and degradation resistance

Trina Solar guarantees limited degradation over the ensuing 15 years. The performance will only degrade by a maximum of 2% the first year, and then only by a maximum of 0.50% yearly after that. After the 15 years are over, your modules will still show at least 91% of nominal capacity. A substantial 15-year product warranty is also included with this 395 W Trina Solar solar panel.
