About product

TSM DEG15VC.20 is a model that uses a number of technologies to bring durability and performance to the next level. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.

The use of half-cut cell technology is an additional perk. The solar cells of TSM DEG15VC.20 are half the size of those found in standard panels. Major advantages include reduced power consumption, extended life and enhanced efficiency in low-light conditions. As a result, the panel achieves an impressive efficiency of 20%. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. Trina Solar provides a 12-year product warranty. Stable power output is also guaranteed — performance warranty will protect you during 30 years.

  • 470 W power output
  • 252 half-cut PERC cells
  • 20% efficiency
  • 1500 V DC maximum system voltage
  • MC4 connectors
  • 12-year product and 30-year performance warranties

High efficiency of 20%

Trina Solar DuoMax panels take full advantage of the company’s technologies that have won Trina Solar multiple awards. This PERC option offers higher power output per square foot of PV modules. This means quicker installation times and fewer clamps and racks. All of which reduces your overall costs, shortening the payback time.

Exceptional performance in scorching weather

At high working temperatures, a low temperature coefficient equals increased energy generation. Every 1.8°F over 77°F results in a model's efficiency loss of just 0.34 percent.

High quality standards

Trina Solar strict manufacturing standards include multiple tests to provide extreme quality assurance. The facilities are highly automated, allowing the company to maintain high standards and keep the level of warranty claims very low.

Reliability and degradation resistance

Slow degradation over the next 30 years is guaranteed by Trina Solar. The performance will decrease no more than 2% during the first year and 0.25% annually thereafter. Your modules will retain at least 84.95% of original performance after the 30 years are over. This 470 W Trina Solar solar panel also comes with a generous 12-year product warranty.

Enhanced frame design

TSM DEG15VC.20 design makes it ideal for residential and commercial rooftops. Strong 1.38" frame made from anodized aluminum increases durability and strength. The model can support a heavy snow load up to 5400 Pa. The back of the panel can handle 2400 Pa, ensuring that your system will survive the strongest of winds.

Panels were selected by my installer, thus I can't comment on them in depth. From what I can tell, they've lived up to the expectations set for them in terms of both cost and effectiveness.

Each panel weighs 66.1 lbs or 30 kg
I see the voltage is 36.2 volts. on the spect sheet. is this the output voltage of the single panel, or a total of all the sells within a panel? pleas explain.

The figures in the data sheet are given for a single panel. Also note that the output of the whole module would be equal to the output of all the cells, since they are essentially the panel.
