About product

Trina Solar 315W is a PV module that has 120 half-cut cells and comes with an integrated Light Redirecting Film to enhance power. Great reliability, impressive efficiency and aesthetics make it an optimal choice for commercial and residential applications. It’s compact size and a 315W power output allow homeowners to make the most of limited roof space. Reduced interconnection losses and low thermal coefficients further increase energy yields.

  • Power Output: 315 Watts
  • 120 Cell, Monocrystalline
  • 35 mm black frame, black backsheet
  • 1000 Volts Max Voltage

18.5% Efficiency

Trina Solar 315W has an efficiency of 18.5%, winning against most conventional panels. A low temperature coefficient of -0.36% allows this model to perform well under high temperatures. The efficiency of Trina 315 Watt falls a mere 0.36% for every 1.8°F above 77°F. This helps to maximize the final energy output.

A panel that will weather any storm

Trina Solar 315W has been subjected to various tests, proving that it can handle challenging conditions. The front of the Trina Solar 315 panel can resist a load of up to 5,400 Pa and the rear has been tested for 2,400 Pa. The panels are also resistant to salt, acid, sand and ammonia.

Product and performance warranty

Trina’s engineers made the model less sensitive to light induced degradation: you can expect an output drop of up to 1.9% in the first year of use, but from the 2nd year to the 25th year, the average annual power decline will be no more than 0.6%. After the warranty is over, the panel should retain at least 83.1% of its nameplate capacity or better, according to the Trina 315W datasheet. The manufacturer also offers a 10 year product warranty.

Bought one for my trailer, to keep a 200 A golf cart charged on camping trips. It does the job even better than I expected!

I think it’s one of the cheapest models that also offer all-black design. If you want your panels to look cool but don’t want to pay a fortune for it, this might be your choice

Most RVs are eight to ten feet wide and this model is only 66.85 inches long, so you should be able to fit it pretty easily.
Is the junction box waterproof? What’s the rating?
