Engineered for permanent installation outside your home, its low-THD synchronous alternator keeps electricity stable for sensitive electronics while the rugged Vanguard® V-twin engine provides automatic, hassle-free performance during any outage.
Rated at 18 kW continuous output on either liquid propane or natural gas, the PP18 can start large 5-ton air-conditioners, run well pumps, refrigerators, medical devices, and charge EVs without breaking a sweat. Because it connects directly to your home’s LP/NG supply, runtime is virtually unlimited — no messy refueling or drained gas cans to worry about.
With its 45 kVA motor-starting capability, the PP18 easily handles heavy-duty loads like 3-stage heat pumps, electric ranges, and shop compressors without dimming lights or tripping breakers. Intelligent load management (optional ATS) automatically prioritizes high-draw appliances to keep your family comfortable.
Connected to your home’s propane tank or natural-gas meter, the Vanguard engine sips as little as 99 ft³/hr of NG at no-load, yet ramps up instantly when demand spikes. That means days — or even weeks — of uninterrupted power during extended blackouts.
The sound-attenuated aluminum enclosure, oversized muffler, and low-idle mode keep operating noise at a neighbor-friendly 64–68 dB(A) — quieter than a typical conversation at the property line.
The brush-type alternator with electronic voltage regulation maintains <5% THD across the load range, protecting today’s sensitive electronics from harmful voltage spikes and waveform distortion.
A full-pressure lubrication system, cast-iron cylinder sleeves, and integrated vibration isolation extend engine life, while the marine-grade aluminum housing shrugs off rust, salt-spray, and extreme weather.
