The SimpliPHI 6.6 kWh LFP Battery 48 V by Briggs & Stratton delivers big-system performance in a modular, wire-free package. Each 6.65 kWh module snaps together with RapidStak™ connectors—no external cables, DIP switches or communication harnesses—to create indoor- or outdoor-rated banks that install in minutes and scale to whole-home capacity.
Start with a single module for essential loads or stack up to three (19.95 kWh) on one ground or wall base. Six stacks network together for nearly 120 kWh of storage—enough for large homes or light-commercial sites without adding cabinets or conduits.
All power and communications ride through a rugged one-piece connector. Drop a battery into place, click, done—Briggs & Stratton timed a three-high stack at under five minutes. Installers spend less time on site and eliminate wiring errors.
Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells offer superior thermal stability, no risk of thermal runaway and non-toxic materials. Combined with third-party safety listings, the SimpliPHI 6.6 is approved for indoor or outdoor placement—even in occupied spaces.
Each module can source or sink 6.66 kW continuously and up to 8.3 kW for motor-starting surges, while maintaining ≥96 % round-trip efficiency—ideal for heavy loads, off-grid autonomy or peak-shaving applications.
Expect 6,000 cycles at 80 % DoD—over 15 years of daily cycling—backed by a 10-year warranty and a 75 % end-of-life capacity guarantee.
The powder-coated steel enclosure is IP20 as a single module and IP65 when stacked, with an operating window of -20 °C to 55 °C and corrosion resistance tested to 240 hours of salt-fog—no external cabinet required.

Premium lithium ferro phosphate energy storage systems with industry-leading safety and 10,000+ cycle life
SimpliPhi Power has revolutionized home energy storage since its founding in 2002, establishing itself as America's premier manufacturer of safe, reliable lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery systems. In 2021, the company was acquired by Briggs & Stratton, bringing decades of power generation expertise to an already innovative energy storage leader. Based in Oxnard, California, SimpliPhi has earned recognition from residential homeowners to the U.S. military for delivering exceptional performance in the harshest conditions.
SimpliPhi Power's batteries utilize the safest Lithium Ion chemistry available, Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP), with no cobalt or explosive hazards that put customers at risk, demonstrated through their UL9540 accreditation. This commitment to safety, combined with American manufacturing quality, makes SimpliPhi the preferred choice for homeowners seeking reliable energy independence.

LFP technology with zero cobalt. No thermal runaway risk. Operates -4°F to 140°F without cooling systems.
Engineered and built in California, USA. Military-grade quality standards. Used by U.S. Department of Defense globally.
10,000+ cycle life rating. 96% round-trip efficiency. Maintenance-free operation for 15+ years.
UL9540A fire safety certified. FAA-approved for air transport. Zero toxic coolants or ventilation required.
The PHI 3.8 series offers both 24V and 48V configurations designed for residential applications. The PHI 3.8-M Battery supports balance-of-system equipment and optimizes any power generation source – solar, wind, grid, generator, and can provide backup power in the instance of a grid outage. These batteries feature accessible DC breakers and comprehensive 10-year warranty coverage.
The integrated Battery Management System (BMS) is designed to communicate and optimize the batteries performance and is compatible in residential and commercial applications – on or off grid. The AmpliPHI 3.8 features closed-loop communications with inverter systems and extends warranty coverage to 15 years.
The company's latest product is the SimpliPhi Energy Storage System (ESS), which includes a hybrid solar inverter and energy monitoring system alongside the new, stackable SimpliPhi 6.6 modular battery system. This revolutionary design allows for seamless scalability from residential to commercial applications.

SimpliPhi products do not generate heat or require ventilation or cooling and do not pose the risk of thermal runaway characteristic of lithium cobalt based batteries. Conventional lithium-ion batteries require built-in cooling systems that add complexity, cost, and weight to the finished product.
SimpliPhi batteries have a working temperature of -20 to 60 degrees celsius and are developed with lithium ion phosphate which is well known for their chemical safety with batteries, as well as providing a long cycle life. This robust performance has made them the choice for critical applications worldwide.
SimpliPhi 4.9kWh batteries are scalable up to 60 units (299 kWh), allowing systems to grow with changing energy needs. The modular design simplifies installation and future expansion.
The SimpliPhi batteries are simply better than lead acid in so many ways. Over the long term, there is no other technology that could reliably and efficiently power my off-grid home and business. Our house & our shop are both run exclusively off our solar panels & our battery bank. The SimpliPhi batteries have worked wonderfully in our cold northern British Columbia temperatures!
— Jeff B., Homeowner British Columbia
The PV system with SimpliPhi batteries has provided convenient, quiet and reliable power to parts of our farm 24/7 that was impractical with gas generators. It has given us operational flexibility to do things that we simply could not do before.
— Scott Murakami, Hawaiian Outpost
There has been no noticeable change in performance over 4 years. There is no maintenance - not even to connections
This demonstrates the exceptional reliability that has made SimpliPhi a trusted name in energy storage.
SimpliPhi's batteries are noted for their industry-leading warranties, with most products offering 10-year warranties at 90% or 80% capacity. The company has received recognition in the industry, including awards for its solar storage products.
While SimpliPhi battery cost reflects premium American manufacturing, the total cost of ownership proves competitive when factoring in the extended lifespan and minimal maintenance requirements. The average homeowner would likely be happy with a 13.3 kWh system consisting of one inverter and two battery modules, which would cost around $9,300 before installation.
The SimpliPhi 48V battery storage systems offer exceptional value through:
SimpliPhi uses cobalt-free LFP chemistry that eliminates thermal runaway risk. Unlike NMC batteries used by Tesla and LG, SimpliPhi batteries require no cooling systems and generate no toxic gases, earning UL9540A fire safety certification.
SimpliPhi batteries are rated for 10,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge, significantly exceeding the 6,000-cycle rating of most competitors. With proper use, expect 15+ years of reliable service.
Yes, SimpliPhi batteries are compatible with all industry-standard inverters and charge controllers. They integrate seamlessly with solar, wind, grid, and generator power sources.
SimpliPhi offers 10-year warranties on PHI series batteries and 15-year warranties on AmpliPHI models. This industry-leading coverage reflects the company's confidence in their American-made quality.
