The IQ8PLUS Microinverter is part of Enphase’s revolutionary microgrid-forming platform, capable of producing power even when the grid is down—when paired with an IQ System Controller. Built on Enphase’s proprietary ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) technology, the IQ8PLUS provides ultra-fast response to grid events, ensuring seamless transitions between on-grid and off-grid operation for superior system resilience.
Delivering up to 300 VA of peak AC output, the IQ8PLUS is optimized for high-efficiency solar panels and operates across a wide DC input voltage range of 16–58V. Each unit undergoes extensive durability testing, with over one million cumulative operating hours validating its long-term reliability. The inverter’s natural convection cooling and corrosion-resistant polymer enclosure ensure silent, maintenance-free operation in all climates.
Fully compliant with UL 1741-SB (3rd Edition) and IEEE 1547:2018, the IQ8PLUS supports advanced grid functions such as Volt-Var, Volt-Watt, and Frequency-Watt control. It’s designed for evolving interconnection standards and can receive remote firmware updates to stay compliant with new grid requirements—ensuring future-proof reliability for both homeowners and utilities.
The IQ8PLUS connects seamlessly with Enphase IQ Gateway and IQ Battery systems for integrated solar, storage, and monitoring. With Power Line Communication (PLC) and plug-and-play connectors, installation is quick and straightforward. Installers can link up to 13 microinverters per 20A branch circuit, simplifying wiring and reducing balance-of-system costs. The inverter’s compact form and lightweight design make it ideal for modern rooftop applications.
The IQ8PLUS meets the latest NEC 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2023 rapid shutdown requirements for both AC and DC conductors, ensuring complete safety during installation and operation. Rated for wet and coastal locations, its NEMA 6/IP67 enclosure provides complete protection from dust, water, and environmental exposure—guaranteeing reliable power production in even the harshest conditions.
