The Briggs & Stratton Standard SED Transfer Switch delivers safe, code-compliant switching between utility and generator power. Rated at 150 A and housed in a rugged NEMA 3R enclosure, it combines a service-entrance disconnect (SED) with a dependable automatic transfer mechanism — streamlining installation and protecting your mid-size home or light commercial site during outages.
If utility power fails, the switch senses the outage and transfers selected loads to generator power — then seamlessly returns to the grid once it’s stable again. Your essential circuits stay online without manual intervention.
The integrated SED provides an NEC-compliant main disconnect and transfer switch in a single enclosure. That simplifies wiring, reduces install time, and keeps inspectors happy.
A weatherproof NEMA 3R cabinet mounts outdoors right next to your meter or generator. Powder-coated steel and gasketed doors keep moisture and debris out, ensuring long-term reliability.
Roomy wiring space, pre-drilled knockouts, and clearly marked lugs help electricians finish faster. Neutral and ground bars come pre-installed for a clean, organized hookup.
