Among the newest offerings of BYD, MLTK-36-540 is part of the MLTK-36 series. These panels use state-of-the-art technology to achieve high efficiency and dependability. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.
To further boost the performance, BYD employs half-cut cell technology. Each of the panel’s 144 cells is only half the size of a traditional solar cell. This grants MLTK-36-540 lower resistive losses and better shade tolerance. At 20.90% efficiency, MLTK-36-540 offers surprising performance for its weight and size. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. BYD provides a 12-year product warranty. Stable power output is also guaranteed — performance warranty will protect you during 25 years.
This BYD panel provides 540 W power at 20.90% efficiency. High energy production levels are achieved through the usage of the latest advances in the solar industry, including PERC technology and state-of-the-art antireflective coating. An efficient panel yields more per square foot and pays for itself faster.
This module makes the heat less dangerous since it has one of the lowest temperature coefficients in the market, losing just -0.332% of efficiency for every 1.8°F over 77°F.
BYD's stringent production requirements include various tests to guarantee high quality. The facilities are highly automated, allowing the manufacturer to maintain high standards while keeping warranty claims to a minimum.
The amount of power output loss experienced by these panels during the first year of operation will not exceed 2%. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 25th year will not surpass 0.55%. After 25 years, the module will still produce more than 84.8% of its initial output.
PID, salt, acid and ammonia cannot harm MLTK-36-540. Furthermore, it has a mechanical load resistance of up to 5400 Pa in the front and 2400 Pa in the back. A layer of protective glass and 1.38" thick anodized aluminum alloy frame are the primary reasons for its toughness.
