Among the newest offerings of Hyperion (Runergy), HY-DH108P8 is part of the 390-B series. These panels use state-of-the-art technology to achieve high efficiency and dependability. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.
Another advantage is the half-cut cell technology. HY-DH108P8 has solar cells half the size of those installed in conventional panels. The main benefits are decreased power loss, improved longevity and better low-light performance. Not surprisingly, the efficiency of this module is quite high – 21%. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient.
