Among the newest offerings of Hyundai, HiS-S390 is part of the PI series. These panels use state-of-the-art technology to achieve high efficiency and dependability. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.
To further boost the performance, Hyundai employs half-cut cell technology. Each of the panel’s 144 cells is only half the size of a traditional solar cell. This grants HiS-S390 lower resistive losses and better shade tolerance. As a result, the panel achieves an impressive efficiency of 19.1%. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. Hyundai offers 12 years of product warranty and guarantees 83.2% of original performance after 25 years of operation.
- 390 W power output
- 144 half-cut PERC cells
- 19.1% efficiency
- 1500 V DC maximum system voltage
- IP68 connectors
- 12-year product and 25-year performance warranties
Increased power and efficiency
PERC technology improves on an already high efficiency of 19.1 percent. The manufacturer created an efficient and highly durable model by adding a robust PID resistance and unique glass lamination on top. HiS-S390 produces 390 W of power under standard test conditions.
Exceptional performance in scorching weather
At high working temperatures, a low temperature coefficient equals increased energy generation. Every 1.8°F over 77°F results in a model's efficiency loss of just -0.41 percent.
High quality standards
Hyundai strict manufacturing standards include multiple tests to provide extreme quality assurance. The facilities are highly automated, allowing the company to maintain high standards and keep the level of warranty claims very low.
Low degradation for increased longevity
In the first year of service, these panels will lose no more than 2.4% of their power output. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 25th year will be no more than 0.60%. After 25 years, the modules will retain more than 83.2% of their initial output.
Certified for the worst environmental conditions
HiS-S390 is PID, salt, acid, and ammonia resistant. It can also bear mechanical loads of up to 5400 Pa on the front and 2400 Pa on the back. This durability is mostly owing to the 1.6" thick anodized aluminum alloy frame and a layer of protective glass.
