JA Solar JAM72-D30-540MB is a PV module fit for both residential and commercial applications. JA Solar engineers made the Deep Blue series durable and efficient while minimizing the amount of useful space required for their operation. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.
Another advantage is the half-cut cell technology. JA Solar has solar cells half the size of those installed in conventional panels. The main benefits are decreased power loss, improved longevity and better low-light performance. As a result, the panel achieves an impressive efficiency of 20.9%. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. JA Solar paid as much attention to durability as they did to performance. JAM72-D30-540MB is guaranteed to retain at least 84.95% of output after 30 years. Product warranty for this panel lasts 12 years.
