got it installed in october been using it every day since. no problems no weird noises no faults nothing. just charges up during the day and runs the house at night like its supposed to. floor mounted mine which was easy. midnite makes good products this ones no different. would recommend
fine where power is spotty and this 4.5kW unit keeps lights and fridge running. transfer is smooth and feels safe. its small enough to fit in tight spaces.
I was building my summer house from scratch and this is what I used. It might seem frightening to look at, but an all-in system like this actually saves you a lot of time. Midnite devices I know well and I trust them, Shneider inverters work without any accidents, so the product is quality.

Following an outage last winter I decided to build a back up power system. I bought four used solar panels and this Midnite Solar controller. Installing the Classic is very easy once all the other elements are in place. It has an RJ45 connector for remote monitoring from any device on the network.
Extremely pleased with the charger. At first I coupled it with a 12v inverter, now I am using a 48v. Works like a charm. I had been without electricity for three week due to a hurricane, but thanks to my small solar system I did well

My friend has solar as well, but he had no charge controller. so his battery was constantly overcharged and eventually it stopped charging at all. that’s when I saw that getting a regulator really makes sense if you want to save your battery. Plus it’s very convenient cause you see what’s going on with your system
I didn’t know that charge controllers were a thing, but read a couple articles on your website and they were quite helpful. My last two batteries did in fact die too quickly and for a good reason. Hope that now with a regulator the new one will last longer.
The regulator is fine. It’s well made, at least it doesn’t look like it’s going to break in the next second. the monitor is good, you can adjust the charging process and whatnot. It’s pretty efficient from what i’ve seen. solid product

The MNPowerflo5 uses EVE A grade LiFePO4 cells — the top tier of cell grading, selected for consistency of capacity, low internal resistance variance, and long cycle stability across the pack. At 5.12kWh per 3U rack module, it is designed for incremental capacity building: a single module covers essential load backup for several hours, while up to 16 units in parallel deliver 81kWh for larger off-grid or commercial ESS deployments. The 3U rack form factor integrates into standard 19-inch server racks alongside inverters, charge controllers, and networking equipment, keeping battery installations compact and organized in equipment rooms or utility closets.

Auto-configuration and inverter compatibility

The MNPowerflo5 automatically assigns battery addresses without DIP switch programming and auto-detects the connected inverter protocol — eliminating manual configuration steps that add time on multi-module installations. For MidNite AIO inverter pairings, the BMS communicates in a closed loop automatically and is guaranteed to maintain that communication through future firmware updates. BMS firmware upgrades are delivered over the air via the MidNite AIO inverter without physical access to the rack. For all other inverters, the battery communicates via the PYLON protocol — one of the most widely supported battery communication standards among hybrid inverter brands — and is compatible with any 48V inverter that supports LFP chemistry. Each module is monitored individually through the MidNite Pro app or optional software via CAN, RS485, or RS232.
