Swapped these into my club car last week and the difference is night and day. The cart has way more pep on the hills now. Trojan really is the gold standard for a reason.
They aren't the top-of-the-line Signature series, but for the money, you can't beat them.
Bought these for my off-grid cabin solar bank and they've been working great so far. They're a more budget-friendly version of the standard T-105s but still seem to have that Trojan build quality. Very happy with the runtime.

These Gel units are perfect since they don't leak and I don't have to worry about maintenance. They’ve been reliable through daily charging for three months now.
Have a 48V solar array using these 8-volters and the internal resistance is consistently low across the string. They handle the summer heat here in Arizona surprisingly well.
make sure you have the height clearance in your battery box before buying! though they’re intended for industrial stuff, the capacity gives me way more boondocking time than the standard group 24s

much better than standard agms for heavy-duty vibration resistance

How many P-1275 batteries do I need for my golf cart?
A1 SolarStore
For a standard 48-volt golf cart system, you'll need 4 P-1275 batteries (4 batteries × 12 volts = 48 volts). This configuration is common in specific EZ-GO and Club Car models designed for 12-volt batteries. Always replace all batteries in the set simultaneously to maintain balanced performance and avoid premature failure.

What maintenance does the P-1275 require?
A1 SolarStore
The P-1275 is a flooded battery requiring regular maintenance: check and fill with distilled water every 2-4 weeks depending on usage, keep terminals clean and corrosion-free, and recharge promptly after use. Avoid discharging below 50% state of charge frequently to maximize cycle life. Use a quality charger with "flooded" or "Trojan-specific" settings for best results. Proper maintenance is essential for achieving the expected 3-5 year service life.

What's the difference between the Pacer P-1275 and the Trojan T-1275?
A1 SolarStore
The P-1275 is Trojan's value line offering, priced 15-20% lower than the premium T-1275. While both are 12-volt flooded batteries, the T-1275 features advanced T2 Technology™ for deeper discharge capability and longer lifespan (5-7 years vs. 3-5 years). The P-1275 has slightly lower capacity (145Ah vs. 150Ah) and a shorter warranty (12 months vs. 18 months), but delivers reliable Trojan performance at a more economical price point. The P-1275 is Trojan's value line offering, priced 15-20% lower than the premium T-1275. About product

Trojan Pacer P-1275 12V Deep-Cycle Battery

Quality Performance at an Economical Price Point

The Trojan Pacer P-1275 is a reliable, flooded deep-cycle lead-acid battery that delivers dependable power for demanding 12-volt applications. Part of Trojan's value-oriented Pacer line, the P-1275 offers proven Trojan quality and performance at a budget-friendly price point, making it an excellent alternative to the premium Signature Line T-1275.

Primary Applications

Golf Carts & Low-Speed Vehicles - Powers 48-volt systems using four 12V batteries, compatible with specific EZ-GO and Club Car models that utilize 12-volt battery configurations.

Floor Care Equipment - Delivers sustained power for commercial scrubbers, sweepers, and carpet extractors requiring extended runtimes between charges for large-scale facility maintenance.

Aerial Work Platforms - Provides consistent energy for scissor lifts and compact boom lifts, supporting both lift and drive motor operation throughout demanding work shifts.

RV & Marine House Power - Supplies reliable power for lights, appliances, and electronics in recreational vehicles and boats during anchored periods or off-grid boondocking adventures.

Solar Energy Storage - Functions effectively as a storage bank for smaller off-grid solar or wind power systems, storing renewable energy for use during non-production periods.

Technical Specifications

The P-1275 is built to BCI Group GC12 specifications, offering substantial capacity in a robust, professional-grade package.

Value Line vs. Premium Signature Line

Cost Advantage - The P-1275 typically costs 15-20% less than the premium T-1275, delivering excellent value for budget-conscious operations without sacrificing fundamental reliability.

Construction Differences - While the premium T-1275 features advanced T2 Technology™ with enhanced paste formulation and separators for deeper discharge capability and extended lifespan, the Pacer P-1275 utilizes proven standard lead-acid construction optimized for reliable performance.

Warranty Coverage - The P-1275 includes a 12-month warranty, compared to the T-1275's typical 18-month coverage.

Expected Service Life - With proper maintenance and charging practices, the Pacer P-1275 generally delivers 3-5 years of reliable service, while the premium T-1275 often achieves 5-7 years.

Maintenance Requirements

As a flooded battery, the P-1275 requires regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity:

Regular Watering - Check electrolyte levels routinely and add distilled water as needed to keep lead plates properly submerged. Frequency depends on usage patterns, typically every 2-4 weeks.

Avoid Excessive Deep Discharge - Limit discharge to no more than 50% state of charge whenever possible to maximize cycle life and overall battery longevity.

Proper Charging Practices - Recharge promptly after use with a quality charger featuring "flooded" or "Trojan-specific" settings for optimal battery health and performance.

Dependable Trojan quality that fits your budget.
