What happens to capacity in cold weather?

Like all lead-acid batteries, capacity decreases in cold temperatures. At 32°F, expect about 80% of rated capacity; at 0°F, approximately 65%. However, the battery will still function and won't be damaged—full capacity returns when temperature rises.
