PS-20-UHB is part of the Twinplus Series — one of the most recent made by Phono Solar. These panels employ cutting-edge technologies to achieve superior efficiency and reliability. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.
To further boost the performance, Phono Solar employs half-cut cell technology. Each of the panel’s 120 cells is only half the size of a traditional solar cell. This grants PS-20-UHB lower resistive losses and better shade tolerance. At 20.31% efficiency, PS-20-UHB offers surprising performance for its weight and size. Cell surface, back foil and frame are completely black, giving the model unrivaled aesthetics. Phono Solar offers 12 years of product warranty and guarantees 84.8% of original performance after 25 years of operation.
More energy and efficiency
The PERC technology further improves an already excellent efficiency of 20.31 percent. A reliable PID resistance and a unique glass lamination were added by the maker, which ultimately produced a model that was effective and extremely durable. PS-20-UHB produces 370 W of power under typical test settings.
The heat is less of a threat with this module: with one of the lowest temperature coefficients in the industry, PS-20-UHB loses just 0.36% of efficiency for every 1.8°F above 77°F.
Phono Solar strict manufacturing standards include multiple tests to provide extreme quality assurance. The facilities are highly automated, allowing the company to maintain high standards and keep the level of warranty claims very low.
The amount of power output loss experienced by these panels during the first year of operation will not exceed 2%. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 25th year will not surpass 0.55%. After 25 years, the module will still produce more than 84.8% of its initial output.
The 1.18" frame built of anodized aluminum and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module weather-resistant. The front side of the modules can withstand a 5400 Pa load, whereas the back side can withstand a 2400 Pa load.
The panel features all-black design which looks great on any roof. The manufacturer ensures excellent cell color by special treatment and selection processes. Phono Solar engineers use thinner wires to connect the cells together, and at a distance the surface of the modules appears smooth and uninterrupted.
