In this article, you will find all the information about our 415 Watt solar panels. These powerful PV modules become increasingly popular, especially in commercial and utility-scale installations. You can find 415W solar panels for sale in our store as well.
When choosing the solar panel 415W, you can find mono- and polycrystalline modules. Polycrystalline panels are cheaper, but monocrystalline modules are more productive. In our store we offer primarily the most efficient monocrystalline panels, including 415 watt solar panels.
Before purchasing a 415W solar panel kit, you need to decide what kind of system you want.
Most solar systems are grid-tie which means they are connected to the commercial grid. It gives you an option of Net Metering: you sell your excess electricity to the utility and receive credits to offset your energy bills.
Some prefer off-grid solar systems which give you complete energy independence. However, since the system isn’t connected to the grid, you need an energy storage to store generated energy and use it at times when your system is not active (at night). This is why off-grid systems always have batteries as their part.
Hybrid solar systems combine features of grid-tied and off-grid system configurations. You are connected to the utility grid, but still use battery storage to have, for example, interrupted power supply.
A 415W solar panel has a 415 watt rated power output. However, the actual power output will depend on your geographic location, shading, weather conditions, and the tilt of your panels.
To find out how many 415W panels you need to install, you have to calculate your daily energy needs. Divide it by the number of peak sun hours (PSH) in your area and you’ll have the combined wattage of an array that you need. Let’s say, if you live in Arizona and your daily energy consumption is 6-7 kW. Then 6,500 ÷ 6.3 ≈ 900-1000 kW. It means that you’ll need 2-3 415W panels to cover your needs.
415 watt solar panel price is generally a bit higher than the price of most popular panels for residential installations. Which makes sense — a 415 W solar panel allows you to gain more electricity from a square foot. Currently, our online store has a great Mission Solar panel in stock for $310.
Sizes of 415 watt solar panels depend on the brand and the model. In general, 415 Watt solar panels have 144 half-cut solar cells with measurements similar to 72 cell solar panels. The 415 Watt solar panel dimensions are about 79” X 39” X 1.4” and weight is around 49 lbs.
