I’ve seen a few inverters fail not long after the warranty’s end. For this model you can extend the warranty up to 20 years with a few clicks on the Fronius website, which is exactly what I’ve been looking for

Great inverter, but software could be better. Spent many hours trying to set up the app to get it working only to have it go offline. Not very intuitive setup. Works 70% of the time and then just goes offline. Then all of a sudden it will connect again.

It replaced a 15 year old inverter also made by Fronius. I noticed that it is much quieter. I also did all the installation myself, so it is a pretty straightforward process. Didn’t have to wait long for delivery and liked the store’s very informative blog

The Fronius Symo 12.0-3 208–240 features the innovative SnapINverter mounting system, designed for quick and tool-free installation. The lightweight design and zero-tilt mounting capability simplify both setup and maintenance, making it ideal for rooftop and ground-mounted commercial systems.

Safety and compliance built-in

This inverter comes equipped with integrated DC disconnects, arc-fault protection (AFCI), and SunSpec rapid shutdown signaling to meet NEC 2017 safety requirements. Ground fault protection with isolation monitoring and temperature-based power derating ensure reliable and safe operation in all environments.

Smart communication and monitoring

With the optional Fronius Datamanager 2.0 card, the Symo enables advanced monitoring and communication. It supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Modbus TCP, and JSON protocols, allowing seamless integration into energy management systems and remote performance tracking via Fronius Solar.web.
