It’s really convenient. I just placed the cabinet on the roof next to panels and inverter since I have a flat roof and it’s good to have it all in one place.

I can say it does the job just as well as a module-level optimizer. But you can hook up as many as nine panels per one PV link, which makes it a clear winner.

well, I like Generac products in general and a battery cabinet seemed like a convenient thing to add. It is indeed. I'm fairly certain that the batteries are going to serve me longer and it looks much less messy with a cabinet in my garage now.

I believe poor compatibility is where we lose a lot of efficiency. Generac equipment is designed to work as part of a system, which means there are less incompatibility losses

Three is enough for me, but I like the possibility of easily upgrading in the future. Of all the options that I have considered it was the most comprehensive and functional modular storage system. I have to point out though that you can’t really install it outside if you have cold winters. Check the lowest recommended temperature

The unit can be installed in a blink without even opening the manual. But I didn’t like that the terminals were different sizes and I had to change cable size due to that. It is a minor inconvenience though and I would still recommend the device

I’m very glad I went with this system a while ago. Now, when I need more capacity, upgrading couldn’t be easier: I just order a new module from A1 and insert it in a free slot of the battery cabinet!

The PWRcell solution (storage + inverter) is awesome. It allows making some loads higher priority than others, which prevents battery overload and saves power for the most important uses. Can’t recommend it enough, it’s an incredibly well thought out system
