About product

Generac PWRcell Battery Cabinet is a platform for your battery modules specifically for indoor installation. Each cabinet supports 3 to 6 battery modules. If the number of batteries is odd (3 or 5), you need to add a Spacer kit. You can build an even bigger battery system with two cabinets and up to 12 modules.

The amount of usable energy available depends on the number of PWRcell battery modules that you use and ranges from 8.6kWh to 17.1kWh. The continuous power that the cabinet provides ranges from 3.4 kW with 3 batteries to 6.7 kW with 6 modules. Two cabinets give you 34.2 kWh of energy storage.

This battery cabinet is suitable both for residential and commercial installations. The model comes with a 10 year warranty.

Features:

well, I like Generac products in general and a battery cabinet seemed like a convenient thing to add. It is indeed. I'm fairly certain that the batteries are going to serve me longer and it looks much less messy with a cabinet in my garage now.

The answer highly depends on the size of your system in kw and how much power you actually want stored.
I have a 10kw solar system in my home. I am looking to install battery backup. Wat would be the appropriate cabinet and how many battery modules would I need? Thank you in advance.

Depends on what you want to achieve with your battery and what is your energy consumption. Generally, 10 kW systems are paired with 25-30 kWh batteries, which is more than enough for 2-3h outage and will be probably enough to power your home for one day or so.
hi. I have a shop in new york. Can I put this cabinet on the roof? The roof is flat.

Good day. We wouldn’t recommend it, this model is for indoor use. The 3R cabinet is what you probably need.
saw the Spacer in the description. what’s the Spacer for?

The cabinet has three levels. Each level has room for two battery modules. If you have 3 or 5 modules, then you need to pair one left out battery with a Spacer for the cabinet to work properly.
what’s the weight of a cabinet without batteries
