well, I like Generac products in general and a battery cabinet seemed like a convenient thing to add. It is indeed. I'm fairly certain that the batteries are going to serve me longer and it looks much less messy with a cabinet in my garage now.

Three is enough for me, but I like the possibility of easily upgrading in the future. Of all the options that I have considered it was the most comprehensive and functional modular storage system. I have to point out though that you can’t really install it outside if you have cold winters. Check the lowest recommended temperature

The unit can be installed in a blink without even opening the manual. But I didn’t like that the terminals were different sizes and I had to change cable size due to that. It is a minor inconvenience though and I would still recommend the device

The PWRcell solution (storage + inverter) is awesome. It allows making some loads higher priority than others, which prevents battery overload and saves power for the most important uses. Can’t recommend it enough, it’s an incredibly well thought out system

Generac DCB battery modules are designed for use within integrated PWRcell solar and storage systems. The batteries are easily stackable, allowing for setups with as few as 3 or as many as 6 modules. This flexibility helps to adjust your storage capacity to the intended application. It is also possible to upgrade an already installed system by simply adding more DCB modules. The storage system can be installed outside and operated in a wide range of climates with the optional battery cabinet.
