I actually bought two of those: one is a charger and one is a load control. Not that expensive actually! These controllers are so simple, I barely looked at the manual.

I ordered one of those cheap Chinese controllers a few months back. Wanted to save a few bucks. That was a mistake. What they sent me looked like a piece of junk. The instructions were missing. To get a better CC I did a little research and came upon the A1 SolarStore. The delivery time and service were excellent!

I ordered this unit for my trailer to charge 3 deep cycle batteries. So far no complaints, works as a charm. Mine is the model with a display, it shows the actual system voltage. I can see it from across the room in the dark. That's a very nice feature, so I recommend the ones with a display

The Prostar 15 is a no-nonsense charge controller for good money. I have been using mine for a few days with a 100w solar array. I installed it in a matter of minutes on my boat. It gives off no noise or interference (I mounted it a couple feet away from my radios). There are many other chargers out there, but for the intended application, the Prostar is a solid choice at a great price.

I’m very pleased with the performance, it is a great controller. The hookup couldn’t be easier. The LCD displays correct values for Solar Current, Battery Voltage, and Load Current. Handles all types of batteries. Charging modes include Boost, PWM Regulation, Equalize, and Float. Highly recommend the store and the product

My first purchase was a charge controller for a little over 50 bucks. It was money wasted. If you're just starting out with a basic PV system, I definitely advise spending the extra dollars to get a controller like this one. The display makes it easy to detect any problems. Great product and amazing service!

Morningstar's ProStar Gen3 PWM charge controllers are an ideal option for residential, mobile, or stand-alone solar PV systems. They provide continuous self-diagnostics and monitoring, ensuring stable work. Electronic error protections prevent damage from overload, short-circuit and installation mistakes. They are also protected from battery reverse polarity without any mechanical fuses.
