About product

Mission Solar MSE340SX5T is a PV module fit for both residential and commercial applications. Mission Solar engineers made the MSE PERC 60 series durable and efficient, while minimizing the amount of useful space required for their operation. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight. As a result, the panel achieves impressive efficiency of 18.5%. Cell surface, back foil and frame are completely black, giving the model unrivaled aesthetics. Mission Solar offers 12 years of product warranty and guarantees 84.08% of original performance after 25 years of operation.

  • 60 full-sized PERC cells
  • 340 W nameplate capacity
  • 18.5% efficiency
  • 1000 V DC maximum system voltage
  • MC4 connectors
  • 12 year of product and 25 year of performance warranty

More power and efficiency

An already high efficiency of 18.5% is further enhanced by PERC technology. By adding a solid PID resistance and special glass lamination on top, the manufacturer ended up with an efficient and very durable model. Under standard test conditions, MSE340SX5T outputs 340 W of power.

Heat-resistant performance

The heat is less of a threat with this module: with one of the lowest temperature coefficients in the industry, MSE340SX5T loses just 0.26% of efficiency for every 1.8°F above 77°F.

High quality standards

Mission Solar strict manufacturing standards include multiple tests to provide extreme quality assurance. The facilities are highly automated, allowing the company to maintain high standards and keep the level of warranty claims very low.

Low degradation for a longer lifespan

These panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output in the first year of service. From the 2nd year to the 25th year, the average annual power decline will be no more than 0.58%. The module retains over 84.08% of its original output after 25 years. Guaranteed by Mission Solar.

A panel that can handle hail, wind and snow

The 1.6" frame made from anodized aluminum and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module resistant to the foulest of weather. The front side of the modules can resist a 5600 Pa load, and the back side 5631 Pa.

Outstanding all-black design

The panel features all-black design which looks great on any roof. The manufacturer ensures excellent cell color by special treatment and selection processes. Mission Solar engineers use thinner wires to connect the cells together, and at a distance the surface of the modules appears smooth and uninterrupted.

It was really hard to decide between this model and the 350w version in the same series. The 350 is a tiny bit more efficient, but the price per watt spoke in favor of this one. Now after the fact I believe it was a right decision, which is rare for me. Usually i want to return like 80% of the things I buy

For someone as obsessed with carbon footprint as i am, it matters a great deal that the panels are assembled right here in Texas. Transporting them across the world from asia really inflates their initial footprint.

I was doing my research on solar when I found a1 blog. I read somewhere that all panels are Chinese, but a blog review about Mission Solar changed my mind. They are an American company head to toe and I sincerely appreciate that
