Sunny Boy 3.0-US w/integrated DC Disconnect, LCD, Grey Lid, AFCI, 208 & 240VAC; SunSpec Compliant.
The SMA "-41" Series Sunny Boy inverter, featuring SunSpec signal transmitter chip, is one of the most versatile residential inverters available. Combine this series with the SMA-TS4-R-F in order to build cost effective NEC 2017 PV RSS compliant string systems, or pair with SMA-TS4-R "-S" / "-O" (and comms gateway) to provide module level monitoring / optimization (respectively). Or leave all the rooftop electronics behind and design the system to take full advantage of the Secure Power Supply (SPS feature not Compatible with Sunspec based PV RSS). 600V max system DCV, compatible with both 240V and 208V sites, and backed by SMA's Power customer service package.

I was searching for solar companies online and got quotes from several of them. I evaluated them not just based on their price, but also how much information those people giving me the quotes could give me about why they were choosing that system. I decided to go with A1 Solar by my impressions of how organized they were. I had another company that I was looking at who failed to get back to me in a timely manner several times, and so I eliminated them.

It has the option to use it off-grid only, just solar panel and battery

No this is on-grid inverter. You need off grid or hybrid inverter
I am replacing a dead unit (same spec, older Xantrex 3.8). Can I buy this from you for myself or do you only sell to contractors?
