The experience of the purchase of the 2 Silfab 490W Solar Panels was a very positive experience. We purchased online of course, then the great communications from A1 Solar started to streamline the product pickup procedure. At the warehouse facility, we were guided to the pickup area and assisted in loaded the panels securely into the back of our truck. We then tested the panels for a week connected to our Bluetti AC200Max with 2 B300 solar backup system. I highly recommend the A1 SolarStore.

The panels have performed admirably and effectively. An attractive option for a large system. The cells are not checkerboard blue, but black, it's a pro for me.

These are very light-weight so it was easy to install and they do not add a lot of weight to the roof. They look good too. Come with a fully loaded 25 years warranty. So far, working great!

Our standard shipping charge is $250 for up to 11 panels and it is increased by $25 for every 4 additional panels. In the event, the product is only available on East or West coast custom quote will be sent to you before the order is processed. Normally, we are able to deliver solar panels within 7 business days.
What is the difference between low price panels and top price panels?
With top tier solar panels, you pay for the brand name, proprietary new technology, higher energy output, and better warranty support.

How long is the warranty on the panel?
In general, manufacturers provide a 25 year-long performance warranty and a 10 year-long equipment guarantee. Some manufacturers offer 12-15 years of warranty. More information is available in our warranty support section.
Which panels do you recommend for RV, marine?
We recommend Panasonic and Mission Solar panels for smaller systems as their high energy output and excellent craftsmanship guarantee years of service.
Can this panel be used with a 12v system?
Any of our panels can be used for a 12v system with a properly selected inverter and charge controller.
Can I pick up this panel from your fulfillment center to save on shipping?

How do I connect these panels?
To achieve the best system efficiency, panels should be connected in series to create higher voltage.
How many panels do I need?
This number is determined by your average energy needs. Depending on the type of panels and energy consumption, you might need anywhere from 12 to 45 solar panels. Remember, the more panels you install the more energy you will get.Please use our solar calculator to estimate your energy consumption and plan on building a solar system that will exceed your energy needs by 25%.

How do solar panels compare?
Solar panels differ by power output, voltage, connection type, size, efficiency, and weight. Some solar panels might be sold together with microinverters as a set.
Can I build a solar system by myself as a Do It Yourself project?
Yes, it is possible if you understand what solar equipment you need and how to connect it together. However, please be mindful that handling your own electrical work without having proper experience might cause life-threatening injuries. Please contact a certified electrician if you do not possess appropriate electrical skills.
Can I connect and charge my solar panel battery directly with the solar panel?
We do not recommend using the solar panel without the charge controller. Using solar panels without the charge controller might damage the batteries.
Can I drill holes into the aluminum frame for mounting?
We do not recommend drilling any new holes to the aluminum frame of the panel as it could damage the internal circuit and solar cells. (Also, any modification to the panel will void the warranty). We recommend only using the pre-drilled holes for mounting.
Do solar panels require maintenance? Can I wash my solar panel?
Solar panels generally require very little maintenance. We recommend cleaning the solar panel with water, glass cleaner (Windex) and microfiber cloth.
Will my panel produce power in an overcast condition?
While solar panels require sunlight to generate solar energy, they will still work in cloudy weather. Even on a cloudy day, solar panels will produce energy just not as much.
Will my panels produce power if covered with snow?
Solar panels cannot produce electricity if covered with snow.

Among the newest offerings of Silfab, SIL-430-QD is part of the Prime NTC series. These panels use state-of-the-art technology to achieve high efficiency and dependability. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.
Another advantage is the half-cut cell technology. SIL-430-QD has solar cells half the size of those installed in conventional panels. The main benefits are decreased power loss, improved longevity and better low-light performance. As a result, the panel achieves an impressive efficiency of 22.1%. The innovations made the appearance of the panel as impressive as the specs. A mere 1.37" thick, this model is completely black with a smooth surface. This beauty doesn’t compromise the quality or reliability of the panel. Silfab provides 25 years of product warranty and guarantees that after 30 years, performance will be at 89.3% or more.

Higher efficiency of up to 22.1%
SIL-430-QD guarantees the highest power output. PERC technology and potent antireflective coating result in 22.1% module efficiency. This is significantly higher than average, which will result in substantial extra savings over the years of operation.
Excellent performance in adverse weather
Low temperature coefficient means greater energy production at high operating temperatures. SIL-430-QD loses just -0.24% of efficiency for every 1.8°F above 77°F.
High quality standards
Multiple tests are part of the Silfab tight production requirements, which offer the highest level of quality assurance. Because of the facilities' high degree of automation, the business is able to uphold strict standards and minimize the number of warranty claims to an absolute minimum.
Low degradation for increased longevity
In the first year of service, these panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 30th year will be no more than 0.30%. After 30 years, the modules will retain more than 89.3% of their initial output.
A panel that can handle hail, wind and snow
The 1.37" frame made from anodized aluminum and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module resistant to the foulest of weather. The front side of the modules can resist a 5400 Pa load, and the back side 4000 Pa.
