About product
Silfab SIL-410-BG is a PV module fit for both residential and commercial applications. Silfab engineers made the Elite series durable and efficient while minimizing the amount of useful space required for their operation. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.
The use of half-cut cell technology is an additional perk. The solar cells of SIL-410-BG are half the size of those found in standard panels. Major advantages include reduced power consumption, extended life and enhanced efficiency in low-light conditions. Not surprisingly, the efficiency of this module is quite high – 21.4%. Novel design solutions allow this panel to look as well as it performs. This model is just 1.4" in depth and is jet black with a sleek finish. The panel's functionality and durability are not affected by its aesthetic appeal though. Silfab offers 25 years of product warranty and guarantees 82.05% of original performance after 30 years of operation.
An already high efficiency of 21.4% is further enhanced by PERC technology. By adding a solid PID resistance and special glass lamination on top, the manufacturer ended up with an efficient and very durable model. Under standard test conditions, SIL-410 BG outputs 410 W of power.
A low temperature coefficient provides more energy output at high working temperatures. SIL-410-BG loses just -0.38 percent efficiency for every 1.8°F over 77°F.
SIL-410-BG is subject to rigorous quality and reliability testing as well as many quality checks throughout the production process. The level of automation in the manufacturing facilities virtually eliminates human error. To guarantee that you receive the finest, REC is committed to quality, safety and dependability.
In the first year of service, these panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 30th year will be no more than 0.55%. After 30 years, the modules will retain more than 82.05% of their initial output.
SIL-410-BG is PID, salt, acid, and ammonia resistant. It can also bear mechanical loads of up to 5400 Pa on the front and 5400 Pa on the back. This durability is mostly owing to the 1.4" thick anodized aluminum frame and a layer of protective glass.
The sleek, all-black aesthetics of the panel will complement any rooftop. By using a variety of treatments and selection criteria, the producer guarantees high quality cell color. Engineers at Silfab employ smaller gauge wires to link the cells together, creating a seamless appearance.
