G10.3 BFG 485W is a model that uses a number of technologies to bring durability and performance to the next level. G10.3 BFG 485W employs monocrystalline silicon — the most efficient material for converting sunlight into electricity. Each of the model's 156 solar cells consists of a single crystal, unlike cheaper polycrystalline cells that are made of multiple crystals melted together. As a result, not only are monocrystalline panels more efficient, but they are also more resistant to degradation. To further boost the performance, Q CELLS employs half-cut cell technology. Each of the panel’s 156 cells is only half the size of a traditional solar cell. This grants G10.3 BFG 485W lower resistive losses and better shade tolerance. At 20.9% efficiency, G10.3 BFG 485W offers surprising performance for its weight and size. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. Q CELLS offers 10 years of product warranty and guarantees 84.95% of original performance after 30 years of operation.

More power and efficiency

An already high efficiency of 20.9% is further enhanced by monocrystalline technology. By adding a solid PID resistance and special glass lamination on top, the manufacturer ended up with an efficient and very durable model. Under standard test conditions, G10.3 BFG 485W outputs 485 W of power.

Excellent performance in adverse weather

Low temperature coefficient means greater energy production at high operating temperatures. G10.3 BFG 485W loses just 0.34% of efficiency for every 1.8°F above 77°F.

Reliability and degradation resistance

Slow degradation over the next 30 years is guaranteed by Q CELLS. The performance will decrease no more than 2% during the first year and then will be limited to 0.45% annually. Your modules will retain at least 84.95% of original performance after the 30 years are over. This 485 W Q CELLS solar panel also comes with a generous 10-year product warranty.
