About product

Q.PEAK DUO XL-G10 is a powerful solar panel for ground-based installation and large solar projects. It is engineered in Germany and comes at a comfortable price.

Features:

  • 480W power output
  • > 20.7% efficiency
  • 156 half-cut monocrystalline cells
  • 1500V maximum system voltage
  • MC4-Evo2 connectors or comparable

High efficiency allows to make smart use of your space

Q CELLS panel shows a high conversion rate that goes over 20.7% with the average numbers on the market being 18-19%. German engineers devised a zero gap cell layout which allows the use of the active surface of a solar panel to full extent.

More cells provide more power

Q.PEAK features an unorthodox number of cells: 156 half-cut monocrystalline cells instead of 144. Additional cells are what allows the panel to provide 480W of solar power. The panel is slightly longer than standard, but you pay less overall by purchasing high-output modules.

Q.ANTUM technology ensures excellent temperature behavior

The panels Q CELLS features Q.ANTUM DUO technology which makes the panel retain high output in all kinds of weather. On one hand, it prevents the energy losses at high temperatures, making this model a good choice for hot areas. On the other hand, the panel does well even in low-light conditions — on cloudy days and in the winter.

Panel comes with 12/25-year warranties for product and power

Q.PEAK DUO XL-G10.C is protected by standard warranties from Hanwha Q CELLS: 12-year warranty for product and 25-year warranty for performance. The degradation rate of Q CELLS panels is lower than average: a module loses no more than 0.5% of its initial output per year. After 25 years panels are guaranteed to have at least 86% of nominal power.

A1SolarStore staff handled my order very professionally and the delivery was on time. The panels themselves are very good-looking and they indeed do well on bad days. It feels like engineers finally figured out how to deal with clouds and bad weather in general.

Can these panels be used for roof residential installation?

Yes, sure.
I want to buy 3 of the 480W pannels, series hookup of course, so I need to size my charge controller accordingly to charge a bank of 12V x 200 ah batteries. I have a charge calculator I found online, but it needs the figures for the "T" in the STC for each panel, I do not see that in the spec sheet. Or else I'm blind!! Thanks

It's not exactly clear what did you mean by T in STC. A charge controller for 3 x 480V panels and 12V battery should have at least 150V maximum voltage (preferably 200) and at least 40A, if we're talking about series hookup.
how’s that engineered in germany? I thought q cells is a korean brand.

Hanwha Q CELLS still has engineered teams in Germany, despite the fact that the executives reside in Seoul.
what kind of inverter would you recommend with these?

Well, it depends on the properties of your system. If you plan to build a high-output installation out of these panels, it’s most likely to be grid-tie. In that case we would recommend SolarEdge and Fronius inverters — there are several models that are designed for powerful systems, 10 kW or more.
