The HiKu PV module is a high-output solar panel from Canadian Solar. It features improved cell design and better energy harvest from a square foot. It’s a great choice for large residential, commercial and industrial projects.

The HiKu panel gives out 460 watts of power with a 20.8% conversion rate. High efficiency was achieved by implementing Passivated Emitter Rear Cell technology and half-cut cell design which both contributed to increasing the amount of sunlight that a solar cell gets. High power makes this panel a good choice for building installations of a large scale.

Better durability and shading tolerance

The Canadian Solar panel has 144 half-cut monocrystalline cells: half-cut cell design increases mechanical tolerance of a panel, prevents hot spots development and decreases the impact of microcracks. The shading tolerance of a panel also rises, because the module is split in two independent halves. The shading of a cell in one half doesn’t affect the other one.
