We have 2 x Solaria 400w panels on our monohull sailboat, fastened atop an aft solar arch that doubles as a dinghy davit system. Each panel feeds to their own Victron 100/50 controller for redundancy. We bought these over 2 years ago at ~$400 apiece and would absolutely replace with the same if need be as they work like a charm and look fantastic in all black unlike the doubly priced Renegy panels marketed as “marine” that most cruisers use. The allowance of charging even when partially shaded due to Solaria’s wiring setup also makes them ideal for boats where boom shading is an ever-present challenge. The original set we ordered were damaged in transit and replaced immediately by a1 at no extra charge to us, so shoutout to a1 for excellent customer support as well. My only regret is that we don’t have any storage space aboard to keep more of these panels as backups should the need ever arise!

I try to select what time or days that I need more power. Hot water system runs when I turn it on, not off-peak. A good system, I am quite happy with it so far. Hoping it keeps working top grade for years to come, even with a cold winter and price rises on the way. I still believe the system will keep in front.

Best panels we ever had to install
I wanted fewer panels, but with high efficiency. Three months in, they are meeting the original projections. I want to see how they perform over the next 12 months, particularly in the winter.

Very efficient panels with an excellent power output. I was able to get fewer panels and still generate an adequate energy to provide my household with enough electricity.
These panels were recommended to us, but unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to return them after purchase. The return policy made it very easy for us, the restocking fee is quite reasonable for a big purchase like this.

How much is shipping and how long is delivery?
Our standard shipping charge is $250 for up to 11 panels and it is increased by $25 for every 4 additional panels. In the event, the product is only available on East or West coast custom quote will be sent to you before the order is processed. Normally, we are able to deliver solar panels within 7 business days.
What is the difference between low price panels and top price panels?
With top tier solar panels, you pay for the brand name, proprietary new technology, higher energy output, and better warranty support.
What are the dimensions of the panel?

How long is the warranty on the panel?
In general, manufacturers provide a 25 year-long performance warranty and a 10 year-long equipment guarantee. Some manufacturers offer 12-15 years of warranty. More information is available in our warranty support section.
Which panels do you recommend for RV, marine?
We recommend Panasonic and Mission Solar panels for smaller systems as their high energy output and excellent craftsmanship guarantee years of service.
Can this panel be used with a 12v system?
Any of our panels can be used for a 12v system with a properly selected inverter and charge controller.
Can I pick up this panel from your fulfillment center to save on shipping?

How do I connect these panels?
To achieve the best system efficiency, panels should be connected in series to create higher voltage.

This number is determined by your average energy needs. Depending on the type of panels and energy consumption, you might need anywhere from 12 to 45 solar panels. How do solar panels compare?
Solar panels differ by power output, voltage, connection type, size, efficiency, and weight. Some solar panels might be sold together with microinverters as a set.
Can I build a solar system by myself as a Do It Yourself project?
Yes, it is possible if you understand what solar equipment you need and how to connect it together. However, please be mindful that handling your own electrical work without having proper experience might cause life-threatening injuries. Please contact a certified electrician if you do not possess appropriate electrical skills.
Can I connect and charge my solar panel battery directly with the solar panel?
We do not recommend using the solar panel without the charge controller. Using solar panels without the charge controller might damage the batteries.
Can I drill holes into the aluminum frame for mounting?
We do not recommend drilling any new holes to the aluminum frame of the panel as it could damage the internal circuit and solar cells. (Also, any modification to the panel will void the warranty). We recommend only using the pre-drilled holes for mounting.
Do solar panels require maintenance? Can I wash my solar panel?
Solar panels generally require very little maintenance. We recommend cleaning the solar panel with water, glass cleaner (Windex) and microfiber cloth.
Will my panel produce power in an overcast condition?
While solar panels require sunlight to generate solar energy, they will still work in cloudy weather. Even on a cloudy day, solar panels will produce energy just not as much.
Will my panels produce power if covered with snow?
Solar panels cannot produce electricity if covered with snow.

430R PL is a model that uses a number of technologies to bring durability and performance to the next level. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.
Each of the 20 cells in this Solaria solar panel uses a patented PowerXT technology. It involves cutting and rearranging solar cells for higher efficiency and reduced losses. The efficiency of this model reaches 20.4% — well above the market’s average. Novel design solutions allow this panel to look as well as it performs. This model is just 1.38" in depth and is jet black with a sleek finish. The panel's functionality and durability are not affected by its aesthetic appeal though. Solaria provides an industry-leading 25-year performance warranty and a 25-year product warranty.

More power and efficiency
An already high efficiency of 20.4% is further enhanced by PERC technology. By adding a solid PID resistance and special glass lamination on top, the manufacturer ended up with an efficient and very durable model. Under standard test conditions, 430R PL outputs 430 W of power.
Exceptional performance in scorching weather
At high working temperatures, a low temperature coefficient equals increased energy generation. Every 1.8°F over 77°F results in a model's efficiency loss of just 0.39 percent.

Low degradation for a longer lifespan
These panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output in the first year of service. From the 2nd year to the 25th year, the average annual power decline will be no more than 0.45%. The module retains over 87.2% of its original output after 25 years. Guaranteed by Solaria.
A panel that can handle hail, wind and snow
This module is weatherproof due to the 1.38" frame manufactured from anodized aluminum and a layer of safety tempered glass. The modules' front and rear sides can withstand loads of 5400 and 3600 Pa, respectively.
Outstanding all-black design
The panel features all-black design which looks great on any roof. The manufacturer ensures excellent cell color by special treatment and selection processes. Solaria engineers use thinner wires to connect the cells together, and at a distance the surface of the modules appears smooth and uninterrupted.
