About product

CS6R-390MS-HL is part of the HiKu6 (All-Black) Series — one of the most popular made by Canadian Solar. These panels employ cutting-edge technologies to achieve superior efficiency and reliability. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.

To further boost the performance, Canadian Solar employs half-cut cell technology. Each of the panel’s 108 cells is only half the size of a traditional solar cell. This grants CS6R-390MS-HL lower resistive losses and better shade tolerance. As a result, the panel achieves an impressive efficiency of 20%. The innovations made the appearance of the panel as impressive as the specs. A mere 1.38" thick, this model is completely black with a smooth surface. This beauty doesn’t compromise the quality or reliability of the panel. Canadian Solar provides an industry-leading 25-year performance warranty and a 25-year product warranty.

High productivity thanks to the most recent developments

This Canadian Solar panel produces 390 W of power at 20 percent efficiency. High levels of energy output are reached by utilizing the most recent innovations in the solar sector. A more efficient panel produces more per square foot and pays for itself sooner.

Improved performance at hot temperatures

A high temperature coefficient translates to more energy as the temperature rises. Every 1.8°F increase over 77°F reduces the efficiency of your panel by just -0.34%.

High quality standards

Canadian Solar strict manufacturing standards include multiple tests to provide extreme quality assurance. The facilities are highly automated, allowing the company to maintain high standards and keep the level of warranty claims very low.

Low degradation for increased longevity

In the first year of service, these panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 25th year will be no more than 0.55%. After 25 years, the modules will retain more than 84.8% of their initial output.

A panel that can handle hail, wind and snow

The 1.38" frame built of anodized aluminum and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module weather-resistant. The front side of the modules can withstand a 5400 Pa load, whereas the back side can withstand a 2400 Pa load.

Outstanding all-black design

The panel has a sleek, all-black style that complements any roof beautifully. Canadian Solar uses unique treatment and selection procedures to guarantee optimum cell color. The cells are connected by thinner wires, and from a distance, the surface of the modules seems seamless and smooth.

This module doesn't use busbar technology, it's a MONO PERC panel
Question about the Canadian Solar 390W... Maximum String Voltage: 1000/1500V Does this Max String Voltage mean 1000W/1500V? This would mean you can't series connect 3-panels, as that would exceed the 1000W?
Brian

A1 SolarStore
No, this is the maximum possible voltage in the string used for commercial projects. Previously, panels were up to 1000V, new panels up to 1500V. You should follow the inverter manual, not the panel manual.
