REC400AA is a model that uses a number of technologies to bring durability and performance to the next level. The Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology ensures excellent power output. This solar cell type employs an additional reflective layer to absorb more sunlight.

Half-cut cell technology adds a few more percent to the overall performance, making this model a great example of efficiency. REC alpha made solar cells in REC400AA two times smaller than the standard size, thus reducing power loss and improving low-light behavior. At 20.6% efficiency, REC400AA offers surprising performance for its weight and size. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. Cell surface, back foil and frame are completely black, giving the model unrivaled aesthetics. REC alpha paid as much attention to durability as they did to performance. REC400AA is guaranteed to retain at least 92% of output after 25 years. Product warranty for this panel lasts 25 years.

Solar panels generally require very little maintenance. We recommend cleaning the solar panel with water, glass cleaner (Windex) and microfiber cloth.
Will my panel produce power in an overcast condition?
While solar panels require sunlight to generate solar energy, they will still work in cloudy weather. Even on a cloudy day, solar panels will produce energy just not as much.
Will my panels produce power if covered with snow?
