SS8-72HD is a model that uses a number of technologies to bring durability and performance to the next level. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.
Another advantage is the half-cut cell technology. SS8-72HD has solar cells half the size of those installed in conventional panels. The main benefits are decreased power loss, improved longevity and better low-light performance. As a result, the panel achieves an impressive efficiency of 21.1%. And while conventional panels use only one side to absorb photons, bifacial modules employ both sides at the same time. Thanks to the technology, this model can be up to 30% more efficient. SolarSpace provides a 12-year product warranty. Stable power output is also guaranteed — performance warranty will protect you during 30 years.
SS8-72HD ensures maximum power production. 21.1 percent module efficiency is achieved using PERC technology and a powerful antireflective coating. This is much greater than the norm, resulting in significant additional savings throughout the years of operation.
At high working temperatures, a low temperature coefficient equals increased energy generation. Every 1.8°F over 77°F results in a model's efficiency loss of just -0.33 percent.
Multiple tests are part of the SolarSpace tight production requirements, which offer the highest level of quality assurance. Because of the facilities' high degree of automation, the business is able to uphold strict standards and minimize the number of warranty claims to an absolute minimum.
In the first year of service, these panels will lose no more than 2% of their power output. The average yearly power drop from the second to the 30th year will be no more than 0.45%. After 30 years, the modules will retain more than 84.95% of their initial output.
The 1.38" frame made from aluminum alloy and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module resistant to the foulest of weather. The front side of the modules can resist a 5400 Pa load, and the back side 2400 Pa.
