Over 20% efficiency with PERC and half-cut cell design
The HiKu panel gives out 445 watts of power with a 20.1% conversion rate. High efficiency was achieved by implementing Passivated Emitter Rear Cell technology and half-cut cell design which both contributed to increasing the amount of sunlight that a solar cell gets. High power makes this panel a good choice for building installations of a greater scale.
Better durability and shading tolerance
The Canadian Solar panel has 144 half-cut cells: half-cut cell design increases mechanical tolerance of a panel, prevents hot spots development and decreases the impact of microcracks. The shading tolerance of a panel also rises, because the module is split in two independent halves. The shading of a cell in one half doesn’t affect the other one.
Ready for any weather conditions
Canadian Solar panels are known to perform well in low-light conditions: on cloudy days and in the winter and the fall. They aren’t afraid of strong winds, tornadoes and hurricanes. The panels are capable of withstanding 5400 Pa snow load up and 3600 Pa wind load.
