You just need two or three of these for an average sized system. The store delivers on time and the orders are processed very rapidly. Glad I found it
It’s really convenient. I just placed the cabinet on the roof next to panels and inverter since I have a flat roof and it’s good to have it all in one place.

I can say it does the job just as well as a module-level optimizer. But you can hook up as many as nine panels per one PV link, which makes it a clear winner.
well, I like Generac products in general and a battery cabinet seemed like a convenient thing to add. It is indeed. I'm fairly certain that the batteries are going to serve me longer and it looks much less messy with a cabinet in my garage now.
can confirm, battery cabinets make life much easier. i have all the batteries in one place and don’t have to screw with the wires anymore. pretty cool.

I believe poor compatibility is where we lose a lot of efficiency. Generac equipment is designed to work as part of a system, which means there are less incompatibility losses

Three is enough for me, but I like the possibility of easily upgrading in the future. Of all the options that I have considered it was the most comprehensive and functional modular storage system. I have to point out though that you can’t really install it outside if you have cold winters. Check the lowest recommended temperature
I like this one-system approach, I think it greatly increases reliability, which is very important in a backup device. The firmware update took a while though, but after that it worked fine

The unit can be installed in a blink without even opening the manual. But I didn’t like that the terminals were different sizes and I had to change cable size due to that. It is a minor inconvenience though and I would still recommend the device
I use 12 of these modules connected to a single inverter. Together they provide 36 kwh of storage! I have them installed outside in two PWRcell battery cabinets. It is a great product
I’m very glad I went with this system a while ago. Now, when I need more capacity, upgrading couldn’t be easier: I just order a new module from A1 and insert it in a free slot of the battery cabinet!
I was choosing between this and the Tesla Powerwall, but since my EV is not a Tesla, there were more benefits in opting for Generac. The store did fine in handling my order, I would shop here again

The PWRcell solution (storage + inverter) is awesome. It allows making some loads higher priority than others, which prevents battery overload and saves power for the most important uses. Can’t recommend it enough, it’s an incredibly well thought out system

I have 22 solar panels on my roof and my power bill is still approaching $140 a month, will this battery be compatible and if so will it help with my electric bill. Seems I spent a lot on solar for nothing, I was disillusioned into believing I would get just a connection charge, but I'm wondering if the battery will make things better?

Generac PWRcell Energy Storage System
AEE now offers the Generac PWRcell solar plus storage solution. In 2019, Generac Power acquired Neurio Technology and Pika Energy to deliver an integrated solar with energy storage solution. PWRcell is a DC-coupled grid tied solar and storage solution based on proven, modular Lithium-ION battery technology, combining string level optimization, backup power with up to 7.6 kW output, and flexible configuration of 9.0 kWh to 36.0 kWh of Lithium-ION battery storage. This is ideal for net-metering, self-supply, backup power, zero-export and energy cost management, customizable for the customers budget and needs.
The PWRcell 7600 W inverter is 120/240 VAC split phase for residential use with up to 10 kW surge capacity. The 11400 W inverter is 120/208 3Ø grid tie, with 7.6 kW 120/240 VAC split phase output for backup power. The entire DC system (PV Links, Battery, and Inverter) is connected on a high voltage DC busing, named REbus, and operates at a fixed 380 VDC. Solar PV modules are connected to the system with PV Link string optimizers with 3 to 9 modules in each string. NEC2017 Rapid Shutdown is achieved with proprietary SnapRS in-line Rapid Shutdown devices. The PWRview home app gives monitoring for the entire system, with detailed dashboards for consumption, solar generation, and battery usage.
The PWRcell battery system is comprised of PWRcell battery modules and a PWRcell cabinet. Each battery bank is composed of a PWRcell cabinet and 3 to 6 PWRcell battery modules at 2.85 kWh or 3.0 kWh each, for 8.55 kWh to 18.0 kWh of storage. For an odd number of battery modules one spacer should be added for each cabinet. One or two cabinets can be connected to each inverter for a total of up to 36.0 kWh of storage.
