About product

Silfab SIL-380-HC is a PV module fit for both residential and commercial applications. Silfab engineers made the Prime series durable and efficient while minimizing the amount of useful space required for their operation. This panel takes full advantage of the Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) technology that allows it to capture up to 12% more energy. All thanks to a reflective layer on the back. This design maximizes the number of photons absorbed by solar cells.

The use of half-cut cell technology is an additional perk. The solar cells of SIL-380-HC are half the size of those found in standard panels. Major advantages include reduced power consumption, extended life, and enhanced efficiency in low-light conditions. Not surprisingly, the efficiency of this module is quite high – 20.8%. Novel design solutions allow this panel to look as well as it performs. This model is just 1.37" in depth and is jet black with a sleek finish. The panel's functionality and durability are not affected by its aesthetic appeal. Silfab paid as much attention to durability as they did to performance. SIL-380-HC is guaranteed to retain at least 82.6% of output after 30 years. The product warranty for this panel lasts 25 years.

  • 380 W power output
  • 120 half-cut PERC cells
  • 20.8% efficiency
  • 1000 V DC maximum system voltage
  • MC4 from Staubli connectors
  • 25-year product and 30-year performance warranties

More energy and efficiency

The PERC technology further improves an already excellent efficiency of 20.8 percent. A reliable PID resistance and a unique glass lamination were added by the maker, which ultimately produced a model that was effective and extremely durable. SIL-380-HC produces 380 W of power under typical test settings.

Keeping cool in hot weather

Even at high temperatures, SIL-380-HC remains efficient. It loses just -0.36% efficiency for every 1.8°F over 77°F, letting you make the most of the sunniest hours.

High quality standards

Multiple tests are part of Silfab tight production requirements, which offer the highest level of quality assurance. Because of the facilities' high degree of automation, the business can uphold strict standards and minimize the number of warranty claims to an absolute minimum.

Reliability and degradation resistance

Silfab guarantees limited degradation over the ensuing 30 years. The performance will only degrade by a maximum of 2.9% the first year, and then only by a maximum of 0.50% yearly after that. After the 30 years are over, your modules will still show at least 82.6% of nominal capacity. A substantial 25-year product warranty is also included with this 380 W Silfab solar panel.

A panel that can handle hail, wind and snow

The 1.37" frame built of aluminum alloy and a layer of protective tempered glass make this module weather-resistant. The front side of the modules can withstand a 5400 Pa load, whereas the back side can withstand a 5400 Pa load.

Outstanding all-black design

The panel has a sleek, all-black style that complements any roof beautifully. Silfab uses unique treatment and selection procedures to guarantee optimum cell color. The cells are connected by thinner wires, and from a distance, the surface of the modules seems seamless and smooth.

I looked into it, and Silfab is really one of the best solar panel brands in the world. Excellent for my purposes, competitively priced, and expanding when other businesses are contracting. Btw, all black panels look awesome!

My solar panels have been up and running for 8 days as of this review. Someone I trust strongly suggested them, so I went with it. The installation process and obtaining the necessary municipal permissions was the part I was most afraid of. But my installer did all the work and it was a breeze.

This panel should fit on the roof of most RVs. It's also a good choice for an off-grid system. We do not provide instructions per se, but we have written a number of DIY articles. Click "Magazine" at the very top of our website. We have an entire compilation dedicated to solar for RV
For two 380 watt panels wired such that having a total of 760 watts, what amp size charge controller would I need.

The wattage of the panels is only one of the parameters to consider when sizing a charge controller. The second is the voltage of your battery bank. To arrive at the optimal amperage, just divide the total watts of your array by the voltage of the battery.

FAQ

How much is shipping and how long is delivery?
Our standard shipping charge is $250 for up to 11 panels and it is increased by $25 for every 4 additional panels. In the event, the product is only available on East or West coast custom quote will be sent to you before the order is processed. Normally, we are able to deliver solar panels within 7 business days.
What is the difference between low price panels and top price panels?
With top tier solar panels, you pay for the brand name, proprietary new technology, higher energy output, and better warranty support.
What are the dimensions of the panel?
Please refer to the product datasheet on the product page. We have a datasheet for every product we sell.
How long is the warranty on the panel?
In general, manufacturers provide a 25 year-long performance warranty and a 10 year-long equipment guarantee. Some manufacturers offer 12-15 years of warranty. More information is available in our warranty support section.
Which panels do you recommend for RV, marine?
We recommend Panasonic and Mission Solar panels for smaller systems as their high energy output and excellent craftsmanship guarantee years of service.
Can this panel be used with a 12v system?
Any of our panels can be used for a 12v system with a properly selected inverter and charge controller.
Can I pick up this panel from your fulfillment center to save on shipping?
Yes, we can set up a pick up at a local distributor. Please call to discuss options and stock availability.
How do I connect these panels?
To achieve the best system efficiency, panels should be connected in series to create higher voltage.
How many panels do I need?
This number is determined by your average energy needs. Depending on the type of panels and energy consumption, you might need anywhere from 12 to 45 solar panels. Remember, the more panels you install the more energy you will get. Please use our solar calculator to estimate your energy consumption and plan on building a solar system that will exceed your energy needs by 25%.
Do you offer discounts?
We do offer discounts for orders of over 50 units. Please contact us for details.
