ok, i basically purchased this instead of getting an inverter and controller for my panels. quite convenient indeed and very easy to setup – i just basically hung it on the wall in the garage, connected it to my PV system and main panel and ran its standard program and voila. approved.

I think I saw something similar, but weren't there FM100-300VDC controllers instead?

Yes, you are right. However, FPR systems with FM100-300VDC are no longer manufactured and right now they are replaced with FM100-AFCI regulators.

what about fusing? Does it have any overcurrent protection?

Yes, it does. This model has two 175A inverter overcurrent protection devices.

Good day. Given the fact that it’s an inverter, the garage would probably be the best option. We would recommend a cold, dry, clean place out of direct sunlight.

FLEXpower system integrates inverter/charger with FM100 charge controllers and all necessary safety devices in one unit. The system is pre-wired and easy to install. 

The FPR system comes with an 8.0 kW inverter and is designed for 120/240 VAC single-phase output. Apart from two FLEXmax100-AFCI charge controllers, the system includes FlexNetDC, AC and DC wiring box, a MATE3s, HUB10.3, controller breakers with GFDI, and an AC Input-Output-Bypass Assembly. 

This power system is suitable for off-grid and grid-tie PV installations and supports traditional and advanced chemistry batteries. The model comes with a 5-year standard warranty, but it can be extended to 10 years.
