OutBack Power Radian Grid-Tie Hybrid Inverter, 4.0kW 48VDC, 120/240 VAC, 60HZ
OutBack Power Radian inverter can be used as a grid-tie or an off-grid inverter. There are two separate AC inputs: for the bi-directional grid connection and for an optional backup generator. The inverter is well suited for both commercial and residential applications as it can support large dynamic load variations and surge loads.
Each Radian inverter requires dual 2/0 AWG battery cables (two positive and two negative) for connection to the battery bank. They have an adjustable input-voltage range so they are compatible with most battery technologies. Up to nine units can be combined for three-phase operation and ten in parallel, single-phase operation. A MATE3s, HUB10.3, and an appropriate GSLC are needed to complete a Radian system. Not rated for outdoor use.

Bought this model four month ago. Before the purchase I discussed with my electric supplier the possibility of grid connection and net metering. The procedure was very simple and my installer also helped a lot with little details. Now I sell into the grid basically half of what I generate. Very happy with myself and my purchase, so thank you

A strong reliable inverter. In our cause it handles even a little more than expected, since our system is 4.2 kW in size or around that. I watch my system like a hawk and check everything: gotta hand it to him, it has very good efficiency. Overall, a solid product, would definitely recommend it.

What if my system is bigger than the capacity of this inverter? will this one still work?

If your system generates much more energy than the inverter is rated for, clipping may start. Basically, you will just encounter power losses. Obviously, it’s not good for an inverter either.
Do I have to get batteries for it?

No, having a battery bank isn’t necessary.
where should i put it? will the exterior wall of the house do?

Good day. While sometimes exterior walls can be an option, this inverter isn’t rated for outdoor use. The best option would be a dark, dry, cold place, like a garage.
