We purchased this inverter from A1solarstore four months ago for our parking complex and since we’ve promised them a review, here it is. Overall, we are satisfied with the delivery and performance. The installation indeed was simpler than we anticipated. Our system is only 40 kW and the inverter handles it well. It is somewhat loud, but honestly, it’s not much of a problem for us. One of our employees can manage it though his smartphone, but so far there was simply no need for it.

I decided to go with A1 Solar by my impressions of how organized they were. The SMA "-41" Series Sunny Boy inverter, featuring SunSpec signal transmitter chip, is one of the most versatile residential inverters available. Combine this series with the SMA-TS4-R-F in order to build cost effective NEC 2017 PV RSS compliant string systems, or pair with SMA-TS4-R "-S" / "-O" (and comms gateway) to provide module level monitoring / optimization (respectively). Or leave all the rooftop electronics behind and design the system to take full advantage of the Secure Power Supply (SPS feature not Compatible with Sunspec based PV RSS). 600V max system DCV, compatible with both 240V and 208V sites, and backed by SMA's Power customer service package.
