SolarEdge presents another grid-tie inverter for small residential installations with record-breaking 99% efficiency. This 3.8kW Single Phase HD-Wave inverter is small, lightweight and can be installed outdoors or indoors.

The inverter shows 3,800W rated AC power output. The model is designed to be paired with solar optimizers if they are needed to decrease the impact of shading on your solar string.

Inverter is easy to install and set up. It has a built-in consumption metering and you can manage it remotely with SolarEdge SetApp. The inverter is backed up with integrated arc fault protection and rapid shutdown with accordance to US safety protocols.

Note! Should be paired with Solaredge optimizers. Make sure the optimizers you choose are compatible with your solar panels.

The inverter itself is great, but I kinda wish it had bigger output. well, should have chosen a bigger model i guess. it was easy to install and connect to my iphone. overall, i’m satisfied.

Very efficient, very compact, very silent. I like the fact it tells me where my energy goes all the time. I started trying to optimize the usage of electricity in the house because of it.

The standard warranty for this inverter is 12 years, but it can be extended for up to 25 years.

why does it need to have a rapid shutdown? What is it for?

It is a safety measure. When the power outage occurs, all inverters that are connected to the grid have to be shut down. After this the grid can be repaired.
