This grid-tie 5 kW inverter from SolarEdge shows record-breaking efficiency of 99% and is a great choice for a residential solar system. The inverter can be managed remotely via your smartphone with a SolarEdge SetApp.

The inverter is designed to work well with solar optimizers if you decide to add those for better shading tolerance of a system. It follows all the rules of safety protocols with a rapid shutdown and integrated arc fault protection. The inverter has a built-in monitoring of the system's energy production which makes it easy for an owner to watch the performance of the installation.

The model itself is very small and lightweight and can be installed indoors or outdoors. Standard warranty is issued for 12 years, but can be extended for up to 25 years.

Note! Should be paired with Solaredge optimizers. Make sure the optimizers you choose are compatible with your solar panels.

picked this one up from the warehouse. Very satisfied with the service. The inverter is all right, but honestly i wouldn’t recommend installing it outdoors – here in california it heats under the sun fast and production falls down. I moved it into the garage and it’s all good now.

The delivery was a bit slow because of holidays, but the guys didn’t charge me for it. They said that they ship inverters for free right now, so that’s great. The inverter is so-so, nothing too special in my opinion, but it looks good and it does its job

I had a couple inverters before and their downside was always their software. Like, maybe production was good, but it was too difficult to manage. One of my inverters died after an update. solaredge app is very easy, self-evident, i’d say. I installed it, connected the inverter to my phone and basically instantly realised what was going on and how my panels are working. really love that aspect of solaredge of production

This inverter doesn’t support batteries. You need a hybrid inverter.
